A grand finale with Deichkind: cult band to close Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games
Duisburg, 10 December 2024 – Cult Hamburg band Deichkind will headline the Closing Ceremony of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, organisers announced on Tuesday. In a major musical coup, the hip-hop and electro-punk band will take to the stage at Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord on 27 July 2025 at the climax of the biggest sporting and cultural festival of next year. Tickets for the not-to-be-missed ceremony go on sale on Tuesday, with organisers promising more star acts to follow.
Deichkind have been a fixture on the German music scene for over 25 years. The quartet is known for ist energetic performances and elaborate stage shows, which will make for one big party at the end of the Rhine- Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
