Visitors' Centre

The Tourist Centre

Landscape Park Duisburg Nord’s Visitors’ Centre is situated, along with the restaurant and the park administration, in the Main Switching House. The building is to be found a few metres behind the park entrance on the Emscherstrasse, a colourful stele marking the entrance.

The Tourist Centre is now situated where once 110,000 volts were fed into the ironworks’ power network. There are now just two huge transformers – one in the adjacent restaurant in the Main Switching House and one in the Visitors’ Centre – which recall the building's original use.

The Visitors’ Centre is the first point of contact for tourists. Here, in addition to information all about the Landscape Park and the Ruhr District, you can also obtain park plans and tickets for events. The Visitors’ Centre is also the starting point and the central booking office for the many guided tours of the park.
