Relaxation, adventure, culture and lots of fun where once there was the smoke of chimney stacks? In 2001 the Duisburg-Meiderich Youth Hostel moved into the former Administration Building of the Thyssen Ironworks in the middle of the Landscape Park Duisburg Nord. Visitors stay in a historic building with an extraordinarily comfortable ambience.

There’s so much here for school groups and young people. And the Youth Hostel’s programmes provide a wonderful variety: multimedia school trips, climbing in the ore bunker or shooting a thriller against the industrial backdrop.

Opening times and check-in: 7.00 am till 11.30 pm
Reception: 7.00 am till 4.30 pm

On request, visitors over 18 can have a door key.
