    Not surprisingly, it’s the sound of the piano, which dominates the Ruhr Piano Festival. The programme for 2017 reflects this Year’s chosen motto, “The Americas”. In 2017, Philip Glass’s 80th birthday serves as a welcome occasion to direct the gaze to the New World, the cultural variety and its quality. With Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Jeremy Denk, Katia & Marielle Labèque, the Sarah McKenzie Quartet and two Education Projects the festival is back at the Landscape Park.
